"There are twelve worlds ... the thirteenth is about to be revealed."
This thirteenth world, although separate from the others, ultimately controls their destiny. It is a world of balance, the scales of good and evil locked at an shaky stalemate. Sometimes the balance tips too far one way, and the resulting conflict spills over into the remaining worlds. However, as long as this conflict has existed, there have been representatives of light and darkness willing to maintain the balance ... even if they themselves are unaware of it.
However, the system is not perfect. The scale has finally tipped to far in one's favor ... the God of Dischord, Chaos. Sick of the eternal balance that has stopped his rise to power, he has summoned warriors to his cause. The likes of Garland, Kuja, Sephiroth ... Warriors of Darkness.
Cosmos, the Goddess of Light, fearing the destruction of not just her world, but those subsidiary to it, retaliates. She rallies each world's best defenders, the guardians of light. Squall, Tidus, Firion. Name's etched into history. With this, she hopes to find a balance.
Such a wish is not that simple.
Gathering even more warriors, Chaos simply ignores the ragtag collection of "heroes" that is Cosmos' fighting force. They are outnumbered, outclassed, and out of their element. Any hopes the Goddess of Light had for a victory are smashed in an instant.
And so, she retaliates in the only way left. Reaching across space, across time, Cosmos gathers every warrior of light the universe has ever known. The time has come for a war, one that decides not only the fate of this world of balance, but every world each warrior once called home. Let it begin.
