Rieken walked down around the slums of Midgar in need of a drink. Something strong, he had been walking all day and a drink would make it all the better. People told him of a place called the seventh heaven and he sought out to find it.
After several hours of walking he finally found it. He was now also really tired he staggered in and started to fall asleep and passed out on the floor. As he fell he mumbled
Memories are holding me deep inside, waiting to break free.

The sounds of laughter from the bar and a woman's voice among many men voices made the place seem cozier than normal. A boy and a girl, about two years apart, we're sitting behind the bar with their adoptive mother, who was serving the drinks while the men told stories of adventure and travel to the two children. The boy seemed more interested as the girl began to play with a doll she had just gotten from her father, who went back to the oil fields just that morning.
"Alright, boys. Time to let the kids go back and get ready for their dinner. Maybe I'll let them eat out here tonight so you can continue the story for them," the woman, with gentle, ruby red eyes spoke in a soft tone. She smiled at them all as they agreed, one man stating that a girl as cute as her daughter needed to eat all her vegetables to be able to get as strong as her mother. "And train night and day, but I don't want her to grow up in a world like I did. Alright, Marlene, Denzel. Go and wash up."
It was like this every night for the family of three. With Cloud gone on another long delivery, it seemed Tifa Lockhart was the one left to the hard work. She washed, cleaned, cooked, and was a bartender each and every day; but she was still running strong as she waited for her friend to return home and help.
Of course, this night was about to change. As Tifa moved to serve a young woman and her boyfriend, a man came into the bar and just fell to the floor. All went quiet as Marlene piped up out of nowhere:
"Tifa! Tifa! Look!"
"I see, Marlene. Here, go take this to that table by the window, alright? And be careful! Don't spill!"
Tifa rushed over, worry etched onto her face. Very rarely did men come into her bar already passing out. She knelt down, and placed her hand on his shoulder, shaking him gently.

He was at the bar, slowly nursing a single whisky. The moment he had walked in he had no idea what he would do when he got out. The girl at the bar was the same girl that was in Avalanche. Tifa. The same girl who had been kidnapped by Don Cordero after he had fucked up. The same girl who had seen her home crushed into dust because of his prideful mistake. He still heard the screams. He was back now. Back home. But this was not the same place he had left. Three long years had passed. Meteor was gone. Sephiroth was defeated. So, it seemed he had been dead for 3 years before the woman had called him. It was horrible hearing it all. He had turned up at his parents house a few weeks ago only to see them shocked and horrored. They had attacked him. Thinking him some kind of undead. But after he had convinced them he was alive, they had explained everything to him. They’d found him in the shinre. Blackheart skewered through his chest. They thought he’d committed suicide because he couldn’t take the guilt anymore. They’d returned Blackheart to the Shrine and buried him. They told him of their horror, that a few weeks later….how the grave was dug up. And Blackheart was missing. They had looked at his chest for the hole the sword had made. Only to find nothing. Not even a mark.
And now he was back. Same old bar. Looking for a drink. Just as he had dnoe so many times before he had left. Before he had bailed out Avalanche in Junon. And now he was sweating, looking up at the girl Tifa with his mako eyes, and then casting his eyes down once more. He was a coward. If he had any sense of courage or pride he’d stride up and tell her right now. “ It wasn’t your fault, Sector Seven didn’t collapse because of you, it was my fault, my information was tainted, my messenger was corrupt, its my fault all those people are dead”. But he wouldn’t. He just sat there. Nursing his drink. And his pride. Licking old wounds that were still fresh. He sighed and looked over as some kid dragged his ass in through the door. He collapsed. His last words complaining about not even having a drink. Was he some kind of alcoholic? Almsey shook his head. And got back on with his drink. “ Stupid kids…”.

"Denzel, come and help me lift this poor man up and put him in the back room!" Tifa hollered out, gently taking the man's arm and placing it around her neck. Denzel, who was still short and tiny, helped the best he could and made sure part of the weight was on him. At last, they finally got the poor man laying on the dry, warm cot in the back of the kitchen. "My, my. What are we going to do? Marlene! Sweetheart, can you soak a towel for me?"
Marlene's tiny, squeaky reply soon came, and Denzel rushed out to help with a few more customers that were asking for normal glasses of beer. Sighing, Tifa ran her hands through her long hair, wondering what in the world this man could possibly fall into her bar for. When given the towel, instantly Tifa placed it on the poor man's forehead, hoping to wake him up or cool him down; one of the two.

*dream state* When Rieken opened his eyes and he wasn't in the bar he was just in....he was in Balamb Garden. but how did he get here. He stood up and started to walk. as he walked he heard music somewhere...it sounded like hoe down music....."why would that be playing in the garden its bad music" he shrugged his shoulders and continued to walk. He walked and heard the music was coming from the training center...."Why would music be playing in here am I dreaming?" This question was awnsered instantly when he entered the training center and say the monsters all dancing with one another ..............
And then he opened his eyes when he felt somthing cool on his forehead how long was he out,what the hell was with that dream...that would have to wait now cause he was starving. He hadn't eaten all day and he walked for a long while to find this place to hopfully get a drink,even though he didn't know this worlds drinking age he would still try. He looked up to see a woman with black hair standing over him and also noticed he wasn't in the main bar anymore....Did she carry him, well if she did he was thankful.
